Basin Street Landing

This project was designed by Fisher & Hall Urban Design, Inc. with Lois Fisher as Director of Design.  F & H led the design team for the design of the architectural style and the public realm (sidewalks, plaza, etc.), engaged the community and included visioning workshops, stakeholder meetings and walking tours.   The lead architect of the block-long building was Strauss Architects.  It is one of the first mixed-use buildings constructed in Petaluma’s riverfront warehouse district in recent times.  One of the community’s interests was to have the architecture reflect both the character of the historic buildings in downtown Petaluma and a contemporary flair.  A beautiful, pedestrian-oriented public space was designed between this building and the Petaluma River.
